Transdermal Delivery of Anionic Phospholipid Nanoparticles Containing Fullerene

نویسندگان

چکیده

In this work, we prepared a transparent dispersion of fullerene nanoparticles by sonication with anionic phospholipids 1,2-dipalmitoyl-sn-glycero-3-phosphorylglycerol (DPPG) fluorescently NBD-labeled 1,2-dipalmitoyl-sn-glycero-3-phosphorylethanolamine (DPPE). Upon incubation the rat skin, successfully penetrated stratum corneum and reached epidermis.

Slow motions in bilayers containing anionic phospholipid

Lung surfactant monolayer formation and maintenance requires substantial reorganization of phospholipid assemblies containing up to 10% anionic lipid. Nuclear magnetic resonance was used to study chain order and slow reorientation in bilayer mixtures of dipalmitoylphosphatidylcholine (DPPC) and an anionic phospholipid, dipalmitoylphosphatidylglycerol (DPPG), with one or both lipids chain-perdeu...

Fabrication of polymeric microneedle arrays containing Amphotericin-B for transdermal drug delivery

Background and Aim: Drug delivery through the microneedle array has been considered as an easy and non-invasive method in recent years. The purpose of this study was to design and construct an array of biodegradable polymeric microneedles containing Amphotericin-B to introduce this system and its use in the treatment of cutaneous lesions caused by Leishmania major parasite inoculation as a mode...

Transdermal microneedle-mediated delivery of polymeric lamivudine-loaded nanoparticles

Background: The goal of this study was to develop a novel drug delivery system (NDDS) of lamivudine (LAM) to overcome some drawbacks associated with LAM short half-life. To fulfill this goal, polymeric LAM-loaded nanoparticles were prepared and their transdermal deliveries via passive and microneedles (MNs)-mediated transport were investigated. Methods: First, nanoparticles were prepared by dou...

Transdermal Delivery of Insulin by Biodegradable Chitosan Nanoparticles: Exvivo and In vivo Studies

Insulin-loaded biodegradable chitosan nanoparticle was prepared by the polyelec-trolyte complex formation method. The prepared nanoparticles were in the size of 110 nm and had high entrapment (91.0%) capacity. The transdermal nanoinsulin was characterized by in vivo hypoglycemic effects. Plasma glucose was decreased to the range of 80.34 to 96.74 mg/dl, and insulin levels were in...

Physicochemical Characterization and Thermodynamic Studies of Nanoemulsion-Based Transdermal Delivery System for Fullerene

Fullerene nanoemulsions were formulated in palm kernel oil esters stabilized by low amount of mixed nonionic surfactants. Pseudoternary phase diagrams were established in the colloidal system of PKOEs/Tween 80 : Span 80/water incorporated with fullerene as antioxidant. Preformulation was subjected to combination of high and low energy emulsification methods and the physicochemical characteristi...
